How it works

Ask, compare, buy — and know exactly where each link takes you.

1. Ask Buddy

Type what you need in plain language — “air fryer for two under $80” or “biryani spices for 10 people”. Buddy turns that into searches across our catalog and connected retailers, then returns a short list with prices, retailer, and the reason each option made the cut. Buddy only uses facts it can see on the product listing; it never invents specifications.

2. Compare across retailers

Products come from three kinds of sources, and every card tells you which:

3. Popularity scores and “Trending” picks

Our picks pages (for example Trending on Amazon) show a Buddy score from 0 to 100. It is our own estimate, not an official Amazon ranking. It blends a product’s category sales rank, how often our readers click it, availability, Prime eligibility, price and how fresh our data is. Commission rates are never part of the score. Hover or tap “Buddy score” on any card to see the breakdown.

4. Prices and availability

Prices on retailer listings are refreshed on a schedule and shown with the time we last checked. The retailer’s own page is always the source of truth at checkout. For items sold by us, the price you see is the price you pay plus shipping and tax calculated at checkout.

5. What happens when you click “Buy”

Links to Amazon or eBay go straight to the retailer with our affiliate tag attached. We never route a retailer purchase through our own checkout. If you buy there, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — details in our affiliate disclosure. Items sold by MyShopperBuddy use our own secure checkout and are covered by our shipping and returns policies.

6. Recipes to shopping lists

Every recipe scales its ingredients to the servings you choose. One tap adds the spices in the right pack size to your cart, so you buy what the recipe actually needs.
