Privacy policy

We collect what is needed to run the site and your orders — nothing more, and we do not sell it.

Last updated: October 21, 2026 · Applies to myshopperbuddy.com, operated by My Shopper Buddy LLC, McKinney, Texas.

What we collect

  • Orders: name, shipping address, email, phone (optional) and the items you buy. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never touch our servers.
  • Account: email and the items you save, if you create an account.
  • Newsletter: your email and the date you consented.
  • Buddy and search: the questions you type, so we can answer them and improve answers. Do not include personal details in a question.
  • Wholesale enquiries: the company and contact details you give on the quote form.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked (including which retailer links were clicked), device type, approximate location from your IP address, and referrer. This is used to keep the site working, measure which recommendations are useful and detect abuse.

How we use it

  • To fulfil and support orders, send order and shipping emails, and handle returns.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To answer Buddy questions and improve the quality of recommendations.
  • To measure site performance and affiliate click-throughs, and to prevent fraud and spam.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax records.

Who we share it with

  • Payment processor (Stripe) to take payment and detect fraud.
  • Carriers (USPS, UPS) receive your name and address to deliver your order.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers (Netlify, Supabase) store and serve the site and its database under contracts that restrict their use of your data.
  • AI provider (Anthropic) processes Buddy questions to generate answers under its API terms, which do not permit using that data to train its models.
  • Affiliate networks (Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network): when you click a retailer link, that retailer receives the click and our affiliate ID. What they collect from then on is governed by their privacy policy.
  • Partner brands may receive order details needed to fulfil a direct order they pack for us; they do not receive your data for marketing.
  • Authorities when required by law.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with data brokers.

Your choices and rights
